First Commissioned T-shirt Design
I was commissioned by Kaua`i Culture Clothing, Co. to design an original t-shirt design with a the local culture of Kaua`i in mind. Inspiration for the letter "K" came from the Hawaiian warrior helmets (Makaki'i). I also used the shape of the "U" to include the progression of Hawaiian islands and used Kaua`i Culture's signature triangle logo as the final "A".
This is a baseball hat design. It's meant to be stitched off-center and wrap start from the back of the hat and bleed over the bill. Ultimately they did not go with this design, but inspiration comes from the traditional Hawaiian weapon lei o'mano.
Strongman Electric, Co.
For this design they wanted something refreshing from their simple B&W font logo "STRONGMAN ELECTRIC". Inspiration for this logo came from the strong man attractions often held by those old school traveling carnivals. They ultimately went for this logo, but wanted it B&W. I like the color version, myself. Below are the original rough sketches.
